@ElderBerry: the organization has NOT changed. You are peddling lies, whether or not you believe them. Had you read any posts of others on this forum, you know we and our children are still affected by JW doctrine and abuse today. Disfellowshipping and shunning is still in effect. Blood doctrine is still in effect. Shunning unbelieving family members is still in effect. Being thought that non-JW will die at Armageddon in cruel ways is still in effect. Two witness rule in regard to child abuse is still in effect. And those teachings have a real effect, especially on young people.
I have a 14 year old child, family and others that are still stuck. Nothing truly has changed. You may believe that you are getting away with something, you will at some point see that you are misleading yourself. What has changed is some of the rhetoric, but it has only become more insidious. You can’t call it a disfellowshipping because legal work performed by yours truly and many of our friends, we have over the past 15 years exposed the organization, started lawsuits in both the US and Europe, my mother testified in at least one, so now you call it something else, but the results remain the same.
You keep ignoring the question though because you know you are in the wrong and deceitful to yourself and your congregation. You are a Pharisee, laying heavy burdens on those that serve you while not lifting even a finger.
James 4:17 tells us, “If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.”
If you are so sure that what you do is acceptable, then pronounce it to your so-called friends. You are an elder, go to the media and on behalf of your organization apologize for the suicides. Apologize for the child molesters and turn over the documents in your congregation that you have been obligated to keep.
And you know you can’t do that because your so-called friends will shun you. Your family will even shun you. If you are so sure, prove me wrong.
